Atlantica - Opening Modern Book Boxes

Have you seen Goncourt? He will probably greet you with a Modern Book Box and you will grin at him because gold will be rolling out from him.

Initial investment : 150,000 gold ~ 450,000 gold
Return of investment : 400,000 gold ~ 1,200,000 gold (Fairly low chance of getting 5,000,000 gold and above)
Percentage of profit : 62% to 75%
Time taken : 30mins

After playing Atlantica Online for so long, this trick is likely to give the best profit margin, in terms of percentage.

First, lets study the price of a Modern Book Box...

It ranges from 1,000gold to 2,000gold at most. The reason behind the cheap pricing is due to the high supply coming from the players exchanging books.

1) Get 100 - 300 boxes (Depending on your level, there is a limit to how many boxes you can open) at not more than 1,500gold each.

2) Make sure you have at least 40 ~ 50 free inventory space. You would probably want to use an empty character of level 10 if you do not have space on your main.

3) Open all of the boxes

4) Common [beg] skill books worth about 3,000gold to 4,000 gold on the market.

5) If you are lucky, some books are worth millions. A good example would be the War Cry [Beg] Skill Book.

6) Sell your books on the market at your preferred price

Overall, it would be quite impossible to lose your gold by opening a Modern Book Box. It is highly recommended for beginners with less than 5 million gold.

Happy book hunting !

  1. I can see you really put some effort on every post of this blog. And for that, my congrats.

But for this post I must say you are wrong.
The best way to profit with Gouncourt is to keep trading books until you get all your modern and medieval boxes turned into ancient book boxes.

Your investment is quite the same (400k), but you are going to buy 40~50 modern book boxes at a time.
The greatest part of the money you will spend is on Gouncourt itself (the tax he charges on every exchange)

Open the modern and medieval and trade until you get them all to ancient boxes. And DON'T open these, what you are going to do is profit on the overrated price of these boxes.

If you check market prices you are going to see that these boxes are worth 110k at least.
Your only limitation is the number of boxes you can open/day. But I can assure you that at least 30 on 50 boxes will turn into ancient boxes if you keep up until you reach your limit (that is about 250 exchanges), giving you a sure profit of 3 million/day.

This done, you can put a single item on market, instead of a bunch of different ones that may or may not sell until the next day.

Of course that while opening the boxes, if you find a valuable book you keep it and sell it later for a good price. (with time you will see what books are worth saving and what aren't) - And the chances of getting a rare book like war cry [beg] are the same, since all you are doing is to re-open modern book boxes over and over.

I used to do it a lot. It's a really usefull gold provider, but takes a lot of time to open and re-open all those boxes.

I hope my english was enough to explain this method, if not, find me ingame: EFG

    Cya, have a good profit

  2. It is very true that this method would rack up a better profit.

However, any information that I share, is mainly for players who wants to spend the least effort making their gold.

I'm sure we would earn more gold from Valley of Oblivion and Free Leagues than just opening boxes. I'm just providing an alternative for players who do not wish to hunt Goncourt on their mules.

I thank you for your information and input, its good to see people shares their ideas together.

    Cheers to you,
    Atanim

  3. least effort would be purchasing the ancient books as they offer higher gold return than the modern book

I personally only keep the books worth over 100k from opening ancient books, as there is limited space and time to sell books before the next day

  4. Additional info: Location of Goncourt varies, so go see NPC 'Livingstone' near Bucharest
